Rev. Cecil D. Conner
"In loving memory of our friend and colleague"

1946-2011

Rev. Cecil D. Conner was born September 4, 1946, in Junction, TX, to Glenn and Ethel (Wagner) Conner.

Cecil graduated from Junction High School in 1964, and spent a large portion of his life as a meat cutter and produce worker, and served for several years as Assistant Manager of Mansfield's General Store in Junction.

Cecil played drums and guitar and sang in Country dance bands throughout his teen years and early adult years. In 1966, Cecil accepted the call of God in his life, and gave up the "band business", and the many distractions that went with it! In October, 1966, he married the love of his life, Donleta Bundick.

Cecil and Donleta have two children, Cecil Martin Conner, who is currently assistant Hospital Administrator at Kimble Hospital (as well as the local Fire Chief), and a daughter, Nicole, who currently lives in Kerrville, and is working in child day care.

Cecil was licensed and ordained into the ministry in 1976 though the Gospel Ministerial Alliance, headquartered in Brady, Texas, serving as an assistant to the Pastor of the Junction Full Gospel Church. In 1980, Cecil was selected as Pastor of the Junction Full Gospel Church, a position he kept until ill health forced his retirement in 2008. Cecil also holds a Bachelor of divinity Degree from Grace Apostolic Bible College in Niles, Ohio, attained though extension courses.

Cecil spent several years assisting with Graham Funeral Home before Mr. Graham's retirement. He was very proud to be a part of the KFH family, serving Kimble and Kerrville Funeral Homes where needed.

Cecil's main focus in life was serving other people, and Cecil was very proud to be a part of the staff in meeting the needs of those who needed the services offered.

Cecil will be greatly missed, but never forgotten by all who knew him.
