Kerrville Zelda LaVaughan Scott, 76, of Kerrville peacefully passed from this life at her residence on Sunday May 4, 2008.Born in Mills County TX on November 2, 1931, she was the daughter of Lee and Reva Vaughan Tesson. She had been a resident of Kerrville for the past 13 years, coming here from Kingwood, TX where she had been a resident for many years.Mrs. Scott had a great love of children, was an exceptional elementary teacher in the elementary schools in Pasadena and Humble school districts, and was a member of Lambda Delta, an honorary teachers sorority. She was also a member of the Kingwood First Baptist Church.She was also a member and past president of the Lower Turtle Creek Sewing Circle in Kerrville.Mrs. Scott is predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Gaston A. Tesson.She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Harvey H. Scott of Kerrville a daughter and soninlaw, Evon Scott Owen and Ted Owen of Houston a son, Gary Nelson Scott of Kingwood a grandson, Matthew Scott Owen of Houston a granddaughter, Elise Owen of Houston, and her two children, Dylan and Ava as well as a brother, Leroy Tesson of Woodville, TX and many nieces and nephews. ation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Thursday morning, May 8, 2008 from 1011AM.Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 11:00AM. Private interment will be held at Garden of Memories.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family request monetary donations be made to the Trinity Baptist Church of Kerrville.
