Kerrville ndash Winnie T. Warmbier, 93, passed from this life at her residence on Friday morning, October 31, 2008.nbspWinnie was born March 21, 1915 in Denison TX to Hazel nee Paul and Theodore Zenthoefer.nbsp She attended Raynall School in Denison into the second grade.nbsp The family lived in Denison until the early 1920rsquos.nbsp Her father worked for a large poultry company and they were transferred quite often.nbsp The family next lived in Abilene, TX for 8 years before being moved to Deleon, TX then Coleman, TX.nbspBy then, Winnie was a Junior in high school.nbsp In 1931, they moved back to Denison where she graduated from high school in 1932.nbsp Her father went to work for Kraft Foods and was moved to Bonham, TX, where he managed the new Kraft plant.nbsp They moved back to Denison where her parents opened a poultry store until they retired in 1958.nbsp Winnie worked for Kraft Foods in Denison until 1942.nbspIn 1942, she married Perry A. Ricks and moved to Hammond, IN, just across the state line from Chicago, IL.nbsp After his passing in 1957, Winnie worked in Chicago for insurance firms.nbsp In 1964, she married Edward W. Warmbier, SR.nbsp He retired from Sinclair Refinery in 1969 and in 1970, they moved to Kerrville to make their home.nbsp They became members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.nbsp Winnie went to work for the Kerr County Clerks Office until she retired in 1987.nbsp Mr. Warmbier passed away in 1988,nbspShe is also predeceased by her parents, a sister, Maye Zenthoefer and a stepson, Edward Warmbier, JR. nbspFamily members include a sister, Muerlynn J. Zenthoefer of Denison a stepdaughter, Carol Bloom a daughterinlaw, Mrs. Edward Susan Warmbier, JR a niece and nephew from her first marriage, Betty Fornay and Thomas Anunson, both of Indiana cousins, Mary Ann Allen of Arlington, TX and Dorothy Lindley of Tyler, TX 8 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren, as well as a very loving couple, Dee and Dave Powers of Kerrville and her loving friends from Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Hossana Lutheran Church of Kerrville and friends from Indiana and Illinois.nbspThere is no visitation.Funeral services will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:00AM.nbsp Interment will follow at Garden of Memories.nbspIn lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church.nbsp
