KerrvilleWinfield Lewis Wynn Snyder passed away suddenly in the early morning hours of Oct 5, 2012 at his home in Kerrville, TX. He will be forever remembered for his patience, kindness, sense of humor and his love of people.
Wynn was born at home on 748 Princeton Av. Palmerton, PA on May 7, 1928 to Clayton L. and Minnie P. Cunfer Snyder. After graduating from High School, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps, which later became the US Air Force, where he served proudly for over 28 years. His tours of duty included Okinawa, Japan Thailand during the Viet Nam era Bogota, Colombia Guayaquil, Ecuador Montevideo, Uruguay as well as many stateside assignments throughout his proud and honorable career.
He is survived by his loving wife Elois Becky Snyder, his oldest daughter Laura Fender, her husband Rick of Galt, CA, and his youngest daughter, Rebecca Snyder of Okatie, SC, grandsons, Jonathan Fender wife, Jenna Larson Fender, Greatgranddaughter Grace Katherine Fender of Seattle, WA and Joshua Fender wife, Danielle Eakle Fender of Manteca, CA. He is survived by his sisters Frances Deganich and Betty Sterling, and his brothers Thomas, Rodney and Colin Snyder. He was predeceased by his first wife of 43 years, Jean Helen Parker Snyder, and two sisters, June Bubick and Jeanette Hartman.
