William R. Bill Pitts, 72, of Kerrville, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 19, 2007 at his residence.Bill was born December 8, 1934 in Seymour, Indiana to Elijah and Bonnie Starr Pitts. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Stars. He retired from the U.S. Navy in 1972 and was very proud to have served his country. He married Doris Louise Allmon in Kerrville on March 20, 2005. He attended Faith Christian Church and was active in Sunday School and was a member of the VFW. He loved his RV, and truly enjoyed traveling. Bill was a well versed man, he had worn many hats during his lifetime including his military career, law enforcement, farming, and trucking. He enjoyed music and loved Nascar Racing. Bill loved to talk to people in the community and made friends everywhere he went, always going the extra mile to help a fellow man in need. He loved the Lord and is now safe in His loving arms.He is survived by the love of his life, Doris Louise Allmon children, Kim L. Arnold, Elaine Morin, Kevin Farrell, Cynthia Hilburn, and Michelle Scott ten grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren brotherinlaw Don Otte and wife Nancy of Seymour, Indiana a host of many loving friends and neighbors along with two cherished dogs, Taco and Saber and his beloved cat Lilly who was his buddy for many years and will miss him dearly.ation will be held from 57 PM, Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, February 26, 2007 in the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frankie Enloe and Rev. Joseph Fegenbush officiating. In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests memorials be made to the Kathleen C. Cailloux Humane Society, 2900 Junction Hwy. Kerrville, Texas 78028.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
