San Antonio William M. quotBillquot Kyle, 80, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospice facility on Wednesday evening, September 30, 2009.
Born in Durango, CO on October 5, 1928, he was the son of Vernon G. and Martha E. Sanders Kyle. He graduated from Durango High School and then joined the US Air Force.
From January, 1947 to November 1949, he served in the US Air Force, receiving the rank of Staff Sergeant.
After leaving the USAF, Bill continued his education and worked as an accountant for many years.
He was a longtime resident of Gallup and Santa Fe, NM, he moved to Kerrville in 1990, and enjoyed his retirement, becoming an avid Bridge player, joining numerous Bridge Clubs in the area.
Bill was predeceased by his parents.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his 3 sons, William P. quotBillyquot Kyle of Louisville, CO, James V. quotJimquot Kyle of Kerrville and Robert A. quotBobquot Kyle of Albuquerque, NM 3 grandchildren, and was anticipating the arrival of his first great granddaughter in December and by his brother, V. Hugh Kyle of Boise, ID and nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, of Monday afternoon, October 5, 2009 at 5PM.
In lieu of floral arrangements, the family asks that monetary donations in Bills name be made to the Kerrville Humane Society.
