KERRVILLE- Master Sergeant Bill Kreilick made his last partrol on June 10, 2015 in Kerrville, TX. Bill was born June 2, 1934 to Raymond and Margaret Montgomery Kreilick in Moscow, PA.
Bill grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at age 17 years old. He had a twenty year military career. His career included being assigned to 1st Recon Company, Korea during the Korean War. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart during his tour in Korea. He also served two tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After his military career, he had a twenty-five year career in law enforcement in New Jersey and Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was an active member in The Military Order of the Purple Heart - Kerrville, Korean War Veterans Association - San Antonio, and DAV (Disabled Veterans). Bill was an avid golfer, loved to cook, participated in and advocated for Red Shirt Fridays, and took immense pleasure in animals and nature.
Bill lived many different places during his lifetime. His wife's career brought him the Hill Country, and once he got here he said he wasn't leaving. He made himself at home and part of the local community from day one.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margaret Kreilick and sister, Janet Rae Kreilick.
Those left to honor and cherish is memory include his wife, Valerie Kreilick of Ingram, TX; sons, T. Scott Kreilick of Oreland, PA , William Kreilick of New Hope, PA; daughter, Debra Kreilick Hennen of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Robert Kreilick of Sarasota, FL, Charles Kreilick of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; along with many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Interment with military honors will take place at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date.
