William Boyd

San Antonio William E Boyd, Sr., 80, peacefully went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2011.

William E Boyd, Sr. served with the United States Marine Corp. for 18 and a half years and then continued service to his country by serving and retiring from the United States Army after 7 and a half years. He was also a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge for over forty years.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories are the love of his life, Theresa B Boyd his sons and daughters, Janis S Tieman, Wallace E. Boyd, Theresa R. Boyd, Wilson E. Boyd, Katie E. Boyd, Walter E. Boyd, Linda M. Doss, and Melissa M. Boyd, along with their respective spouses 26 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren and a host of many loving friends, neighbors, and his Masonic family.

He was preceded in death by a son, William E, Boyd, Jr.

The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone that showed their support and kept him and them in their prayers.

Open visitation will be held from 8 AM to 7 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. Masonic Graveside Services with military honors will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 9:45 AM.
