Kerrville William Alberthal, 78, born February 14, 1929, passed from this life on October 25, 2007 in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. William was the son of Alfred and Lena Withkohl Alberthal, born in Fredericksburg, Gillespie County, TX.He was a mechanic all of his life, he loved working on cars. He also loved hunting wildlife with his grandsons. He also enjoyed ranching and farming. William was the coowner of Bill Jerrys Radiator Shop. He loved to travel after retiring and was very creative with wood working. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was devoted to his family and friends most of all. Mr. Alberthal was proceeded in death by one son, Michael Alberthal, two sisters Alma Novian of Fredericksburg, TX, and Florine Black of Kerrville, TX three brothers, Nolan Alberthal who died at infancy, Ervin Alberthal of Fredericksburg, TX, and Leroy Alberthal of Kerrville, TX.He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Irene Schlueter Alberthal of Kerrville, TX his children, Donna Alberthal of Kerrville, TX, Debra Jim Brannon of Kerrville, TX, Keith Alberthal of Kerrville, TX, Becky David Espinosa of San Antonio, TX, Kenneth Alberthal of Leander, TX, Terry James Lyle of Kerrville, TX 8 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. He is survived also by one brother, Roland Alberthal of Fredericksburg, TX, two sister inlaws, Josephine Alberthal of Fredericksburg, TX and Leona Alberthal of Kerrville, TX, one brother inlaw, Floyd Black of Kerrville, TX numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007, 1:30 PM, at Notre Dame Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Mike Peinemann. Interment will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Fredericksburg, TX. A Rosary will be held in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home on Monday, October 29, 2007 at 6:00 PM. Serving as Pallbearers will be Allen Swim, Michael Weber, James Lyle, Jerry Torres, Anthony Straube and Mark Alberthal.In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Notre Dame Catholic Church or any charity of ones choice.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
