Willeen Gray

Willeen Elizabeth Bill Gray, age 92, of Kerrville passed away Thursday, March 6, 2003 at a local care center. Willeen was born on August 11, 1910 in Taylor, Texas to John W. and Emma Powell Gray.Willeen taught school at Blessed Sacrament Incarnate Word in San Antonio for several years. She went on to further her education receiving her Masters Degree in special education. For 35 years Willeen taught special education in the Harlandale ISD at the Collier Elementary. She retired in 1976 and moved to Kerrville. Willeen was a volunteer from her retirement in 1976 until December of 2002 at the ButtsHoldsworths Library in the InterLibrary Loan Department.Miss Gray is survived by several nieces and nephews, Marjorie Peters of Kerrville, Patricia Bartelsmeyer of Houston, Eugene Ott of Dallas, and Carol Ann Guinn of Austin as well as several greatnieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made in Willeens honor to either the Hunt United Methodist Church of the Hill Country Yourth Ranch.
