Kerrville Wells Thomas Fielder, 84, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2009 at a local hospital.

Born in Iowa Park, TX on October 10, 1924, he was the son of Robert and Era Wells Fielder. He had been a resident of the Hill Country area for many years. Mr. Fielder served in the US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific.

He was a deputy sheriff for Calhoun County a constable for Bandera County for 15 years and in his retirement, was a reserve deputy for Kerr County.

Mr. Fielder was predeceased by his parents 2 brothers, Robert and John Fielder and a sister, Sue Barton.

Those left to cherish and honor his memory are his wife, Lorene Buckner Fielder of Kerrville a son, Charlie W. Meadows of Athens, TX a daughter, Glenda White of Baytown, TX 5 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren 2 sisters, Hilda Laza of Dayton, TX and Mauritta Elswick of Corpus Christi, TX a brother, Ronald Fielder of Raywood, TX and many nieces and nephews.

ation will be on Thursday evening, April 30, 2009 from 79PM at Kerrville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00PM. Interment will follow in Nichols Cemetery, Kerrville.

In lieu of floral arrangement, memorials in his name may be made to the charity of your choice or donate a book to your public library.
