Dr. Warren R. Nunn, 86, of Kerrville, Texas entered into rest on October 18, 2005 at his residence. Dr. Nunn was born December 15, 1918 in Sanderson, Texas to Guy and Clara Nunn, and grew up in California. He went on to attend Pepperdine University, where he was the starting guard for their basketball team, and he attended the University of Montana, receiving his PhD in Education. He spent most of his career as a Professor of Mathematics for at a community college in California. He was President of the California Community College Association from 19711972, and President of the California Higher Education Association in 1972. In 1987, he moved to Kerrville where he became an active member of the community. He became a member of the First United Methodist Church, and joined the Keystone Sunday School Class. He was most proud of his ability to tutor students in Mathematics at the Hill Country High School from 19872004. He worked there every day volunteering his time and helping hundreds of students. He also volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program at the Dietert Senior Center, and at the Peterson Hospice Thrift Shop. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and collecting antiques. Dr. Nunn had a very generous spirit, and loved his family very much. They will miss him dearly.He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, his parents, and first wife, Millicent M. Nunn.He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Nunn sons, Daniel Nunn of Enterprise, Alabama, and Hank Nunn of Portland, Oregon daughters, Joanne Sauter of Monroe, Washington, and Kathleen Huseby of Ellensburg, Washington 13 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
