Walter Jeffers

SAN ANTONIO Walter Henry Jeffers, 81, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on August 26, 2012 at a San Antonio hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Sabinal, TX on April 18, 1931 to James Martin and Myrtle Boykin Jeffers.

Walter grew up in the Texas Hill Country that he loved so much. On April 30, 1987 he married Linda Lea Berge in Fredericksburg, TX. He worked for a number of years at Mooney Aircraft, assembling airplanes. Walter also spent several years working at the Kerrville State Hospital as a security guard. He always enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with anything he could find.

Preceding him in passing were his parents wife, Beatrice quotBeaquot Storms Jeffers seven brothers and three sisters.

Those left to honor and cherish the memories of Walter are his wife, Linda Jeffers daughter, Rebecca Tokaz and husband Randy son, Jerry Jeffers and wife Charlotte stepson, James Helms grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Jeffers, John Way, Gary Jeffers, Kimberly Way, and Matthew Jeffers greatgrandchildren, Jadon Way, Kylee Jeffers, and Kaylynn Way sisters, Charlotte Wright and Susie Rennels, along with a host of many other extended family members, friends and neighbors that will miss him dearly.

Memorial remembrances may be forwarded to the charity of ones choice, by family request.

ation will be held on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 6 8 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM in the Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, TX with the Rev. Thomas Jeffers officiating.
