LEVELLAND quotW.C.quot Wylie Charlie McKee, 78, of Sundown, TX passed from this life on July 26, 2012 at a Levelland, TX care facility. He was born to Phillip P. and Vera G. Allison McKee on July 30, 1933 in Henrietta, TX.

W.C. married the love of his life, Nelda White, on October 28, 1953 in Portales, NM. They moved to Sundown, TX in 1964 where he was engaged in farming until 1986, and then was employed by Hockley County in road maintenance until he retired in 1998. Leaving him with a heavy heart, Nelda passed before him on May 3, 2001.

He enjoyed many days fishing and camping in his lifetime, as being outdoors made him smile. W.C. loved spending time with his grandchildren, as they were a true joy to him.

Those who passed before him include his parents his wife and one sister.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his sons, Mike McKee and Jerry McKee, both of Sundown, TX his grandson, Kurt McKee and wife Kari granddaughter, Kami Liles and husband Jesse five greatgrandchildren, Kaylee, Kolt, Cooper, Casen, and Creed three brothers and four sisters, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors who will miss him greatly.

Graveside Services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, July 30, 2012 in the City of Levelland Cemetery, Levelland, TX with Rev. Randy Winfrey of First Baptist Church, Sundown, TX, officiating.
