Vivian V. Surles, 95, of Kerrville, TX passed away November 28, 2004 at her residence.Mrs. Surles was born September 24, 1909 in Springfield, Missouri to Claude and Mae Detherow. She and her husband, Edgar W. Surles, resided in Houston until 1975 when they moved to Kerrville. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Lady Washington Chapter of Houston and an associate member of the Major James Kerr Chapter in Kerrville. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 25 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Emogene Moman, and brother, Earl Detherow.She is survived by her half brother, Claude Detherow and wife Dorothy of Sand Springs, OK nephew, Doug Detherow of Claremore, OK niece, Ellen Folk of Winchester, VA cousin, Connie ONeil and husband Dennis and family of Springfield, MO her adopted family, Dorothy and Buddy Moore of Bigfoot, TX and their children, Lee Moore of San Antonio, and Judy Smith of Dripping Springs, and their spouses and children special friends who gave care and support, Nell Meyer, Bill and Mary Lewis, the Stanley Roberts family, Janie Lopez, and John and June Arnold and longtime friends from Houston, Bitsy Kostelecky, and Elsie Lanclos.Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Thursday, December 2, 2004 at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. John Petty officiating. Entombment will be Friday in Memorial Oaks Cemetery Mausoleum in Houston, TX. ation will be 57:00PM, Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Kerrville Funeral Home.
