Virginia Cox

Virginia Hope Cox, 64, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on April 27, 2018 at her residence.

Virginia was born December 3, 1953 in Odessa, Texas. She married Troy Vernon Cox in Seminole, Texas; she was married to a man she loved for over 20 years and raised three boys. She worked for many years as a hospice caregiver. Her hobbies included sewing, word puzzles, doll collecting, and watching the learning channel, old westerns, and The Waltons.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Troy V. Cox, Sr.; mother, Cherry Hope Thomas; daughter-in-law, Amy Jo Cox; and her in-laws, John Paul and Vesta Cox.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Troy V. Cox, Jr. and wife Tracey of Brenham; son, Michael David Cox and significant other Mystie Spring of Kerrville; son, Tommy Joseph Cox of Kerrville; grandchildren, Michael David Cox, Jr., Emily Rae Cox and significant other Ricky Jones, Ryan Anthony Cox, Mary Elizabeth Cox, Vanessa Bairfield, and Jaxon Wrinkle all of Kerrville, and Kaitlyn Cox, Jason Diodato, of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Michael Jones, Ezekiel Valero, Jeremiah Cox all of Kerrville; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Herrington officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Rest Cemetery.
