Viola Wright

Viola May Wright, 78, lifelong resident of Kerrville, died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at a local care facility.Mrs. Wright was born January 16, 1925 in Kerrville, TX to Otto and Ottilia Bernhard. She comes from a long line of descendants from the Hill Country including the Bernhard, Weinheimer and Reeh families. She married Troy Byrd in 1946 in Kerrville, Texas. He preceded her in death. She worked as a bookkeeper, restaurant manager and was also a certified welder. She enjoyed living an active and full life until her retirement in 1999. After retirement she enjoyed relaxing, watching television, and taking care of her dog April who was her pride and joy.She is preceded in death by her Parents, Granddaughters, Michelle Tamara Julian, Brother, Allen Roy Bernhard, a Great Grandchild, and beloved dogs Snoopy and April.She is survived by Daughter, Sandra Julian and husband Lyn of San Antonio Son, Allen Wright and wife Linda of Kerrville, TX Adopted Daughter, Nikki Gibbs of Kerrville, TX Grandchildren, Diana Candy Wright several GreatGrandchildren 2 GreatGreat Grandchildren , Donna Trudeau, Esther, Augustine, Sixta Garcia, Laverne, Jeff, Linda Masse and Andres Sedillo Rose and numerous friends and relatives in the area.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peterson Hospice, 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, TX 78028.
