Victor G. Saul, 62, of Harper, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at a local care center.
A memorial service with family is planned at a later time.
Victor was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Sept. 19, 1954, to Aaron Victor Saul and Milindy L. Campbell. He lived in San Antonio until he started junior high school and then the family moved to Devine, Texas, and then later to Bandera, Texas, where the family ranch was located. He met the love of his life and married Deborah Marie Spitzer, who he spent 33 loving and caring years with.
Victor, although born without most of his vision, enjoyed playing guitar and was very good at it. He enjoyed working with the mentally ill and retired from the Kerrville State Hospital, where he worked as an attendant on one of the units for almost 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, A.V. Saul; his mother, Milindy L. Saul; and his brother, A.D. Saul Sr.
His is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, Beau G. Saul of Kerrville; nephew, Nathan L. Saul of Harper; as well as his two great-nephews, Colby and Colton Saul; and a great-great-nephew, Ryan T. Saul.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Peterson Hospice, whom I can never thank enough for the care they provided Victor in his last days with us. Memorials also can be made to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kerrville Funeral Home.
