Velma Ladd

MOUNTAIN HOME Velma Lee Cole Ladd, 84, of Mountain Home, TX, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at her residence. She was born to John Jacob and Maudie Long Cole on March 3, 1928 in LeBlanc, LA.

Mrs. Ladd loved the Lord and was an active member of Saint Pauls United Methodist Church in Kerrville, TX. She worked for many years in nursing in a Louisiana hospital. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and sister and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her children, Brenda Fluitt and husband Calvin of Mountain Home, TX and Kent Fontenont of Reeves, LA sister, Betty Wheeler of Beaumont, TX many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of many loving friends, neighbors, and her church family.

A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012, 10 AM, at Saint Pauls United Methodist Church, 135 Methodist Encampment Road, Kerrville, TX 78028.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests that memorial remembrances be forwarded to Ava Maria Hospice, or to Saint Pauls United Methodist Church.
