Tyrus (Ty) Bernard Koch passed from this life, April 2, 2018 in Kerrville at Peterson Regional Medical Center.
Ty was born on October 3, 1941 in D'Hanis, Texas to parents Tyrus Koch and Holly Iris McNutt. He spent his childhood growing up in Del Rio, Corpus Christi and San Antonio. He was married to the love of his life, Nancy Brown Koch on May 26, 1987 in Uvalde, TX.
Ty served in the United States Air Force for eight years, stationed in Korea, France and England. After returning stateside he was stationed at Cheyene Mountain in Colorado Springs. He then went to work for Central Power & Light where he worked for 35 years in Uvalde, TX. After retirement he worked for contractors off and on until he and his wife moved to Kerrville. Ty had a delightful sense of humor and quick wit. He loved people and made friends everywhere he went. He loved his family and friends, good books, movies and all kinds of music although the classical guitar was his favorite. Ty loved all animals, dogs being his favorite and he was sure elephants were smarter than most people. He was a first class "fix-it man" and anything he fixed or built was to last next 200 years. So you'd better get use to having things done his way because he "didn't do pretty. "Ty loved his God and knew without a doubt that his God loved him and that's what matters most.
Ty is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Nancy Koch (Brown) of Kerrville, TX; one daughter, Traci Vinneman; and two step sons, Roy Collins (Trish) of Canyon Lake, TX and Jason Collins (Andrea) of San Antonio, TX. Five grandchildren, Brenna Collins; Jackie Healey; Kennedy Vinneman; Courtney and Taylor Koch and two great grandchildren.
