Kerrville Tommy M. Welsh, 62, of Kerrville, Texas passed peacefully Friday afternoon, November 21, 2003 at the Kerrville VA Hospital. He was born September 19, 1941 to Marion Ross and Alma Pritchard Welsh in Tucumcari, New Mexico.His family had moved to Roswell, New Mexico where in 1960, at the age of 19, Tommy joined the United States Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged in 1964, and served an additional two years in the reserves. He then relocated to California until 1973 when he moved to Kerrville. Tommy and his brothers Charlie and Brent were building contractors in the Hill Country for a number of years.Tommy was preceded in death by his parents three brothers, Charlie, Todd, and Nathan Welsh one sister, Sue Daniels and one son, Tommy M. Welsh, II.Mr. Welsh is survived by three sons, Kevin Welsh of Fredericksburg, TX, Kade Welsh of Bandera, TX, and Michael Welsh of Kerrville, TX one daughter, Mellony Belcher of Celeste, TX one sister, Janie Cole of Oklahoma one brother, Brent Welsh of Oklahoma 9 grandchildren several nieces and nephews and a host of many loving friends, neighbors, and fellow Marines. Semper Fi.Tommy will be laid to rest along with fellow Veterans at a graveside service with Military Honors to be held Tuesday, November 25, 2003, 9:15 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas with Pastor Leo Palmonari officiating. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
