Thomas Rees

Kerrville Thomas E. Tom Rees, Jr., 77, passed from this life on Friday morning, March 21, 2008 at his residence.Tom was born in Hinds County, Mississippi on October 4, 1930 and has been a Texan since 1951.Tom served in the US Navy for 4 years. He retired from Exxon International. Most of his working life was spent in the oil industy in international drilling operations. He volunteered at the Kerrville VA Hospital.He is survived by his beloved wife, Dianne Rees children, Holly DiFiglio and her husband, John, Thomas E. Rees III, James Jim Rees and wife Patrice, Dennise Edwards and husband Keith, and Deborah Brosch and husband, Karl. His grandchildren include John Thomas DiFiglio, Trevor and Amanda Rees, April, Shannon and Brandon LeBlanc, Kamen and Julia Edwards, Kyle and Abigayle Brosch. In addition, he is survived by his brother and sisterinlaw, Jim and Frances Rees as well as nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Rees, his parents, Thomas E and Mary Ethel Rees and a sister, Martha Louise Fricke.There is no visitation.A memorial celebration of Toms life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 3:00 PM. Interment was at Garden of Memories.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests that monetary donations be made to First Christian Church, 1900 Goat Creek Rd, Kerrville, TX, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of ones choice.
