Thomas Griffith

Ingram Thomas H. Griffith, Jr, Major USMC, Retired 66, of Ingram passed from this life at his home on Tuesday afternoon, July 21, 2009.

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 17, 1942, he was the son of Thomas H. Griffith Sr. and Milla Putnam Griffith.

He was a graduate of WB Ray High School in Corpus Christi, TX and a graduate of Rice University and went on to serve in the US Marine Corp where he retired as Major.

He married his wife, Sarah Willett in Quantico, VA on September 4, 1965. They would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this year.

After retiring, he and Sarah traveled around the country in their RV.

He was predeceased by his father.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Sarah Griffith of Ingram his mother, Milla Putnam Griffith of Lincolnton, NC his brother, John S. quotStevequot Griffith and his wife, Carol, of Olympia, WA his sister, M. Carol Griffith of Columbia, SC a niece, Jennifer E. Griffith of Washington, DC a nephew, Stephen L. Griffith and his wife, Melanie, of Snoqualmie Pass, WA his sistersinlaw, Mrs. Thomas Donna Willett of Scottsdale, AZ and Millie Mrs. Paul Riley of Washington, DC 6 nieces, 1 nephew and 13 great nieces and nephews.

According to his wishes, there are no services at this time.

In lieu of floral arrangements, the family asks that those who wish, make monetary donations to MD Anderson Hospital, Houston, TX.
