San Antonio Thelma Schellhase Ploch, 89, beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, went home to the Lord, Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Texsan Heart Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Thelma was born January 27, 1918 in Comfort, TX and lived her entire life in the Texas Hill Country.She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren making her wonderful Christmas cookies every year with them. She has been a lifelong Methodist and lived by this faith her entire life. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville for many years.She is survived by three daughters and sonsinlaw, Mildred and Fred Henley, Jr of Kerrville, Marlene and Harry Karger of Kerrville, and Karen and Gene Mosmeyer of Poth, TX. She had eight beloved grandchildren, Diana Henley, Robbie Roessler, Sean Henley, Clay Karger, Brien and Camber Alexander and Chase and Angela Alexander. Her brightest joys were her great grandchildren, Tyler and Nichole Henley, Kirsten Truitt, Taylor Alexander, Tinley Waclawczyk and Kate Alexander. She is also survived by one sister, Dovie Braeutigam of Austin. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Otto Ploch in 1982, a granddaughter, Brandi Karger in April 1979, her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.ation will be on Thursday evening, December 27, 2007 from 6 8 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery on Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Warren Hornung officiating.In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial donations in her name may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 321 Thompson Drive, Kerrville, TX 78028.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
