Thelma Curlee

Kerrville, Texas Thelma Shepard Curlee, 83, of Kerrville, Texas went to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at her residence. Born on May 23, 1923 in Booneville, AR to James W. Shep and Allie Houston Shepard, she was raised and attended schools in Booneville.Thelma was a retired Cardiac Intensive Care RN, working at several different VA Hospitals throughout the area for over 30 years. She always had a kind word for everyone. Not only was she a caring and giving grandmother, greatgrandmother, aunt, friend, and nurse, she was the mother that four children could ever have. Everyday, each of her children knew they were loved deeply. Thank you Mom for thatShe married the love of her life, William B. Curlee, in September 1942. He preceded her in death in January 1987.Mrs. Curlee was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Surviving her are her two sons, James David Curlee and wife Darlene and William Bill Curlee and friend Lydia Ulmer daughters, LaQueeta C. Hoffpauir and husband Bud and Karen C. Baker and friend Joe Maciel grandchildren, Duane, Shannon, Stephen, Allison, and Sadie Curlee, Shelley H. Dixon and husband Butch, Mandy H. Baublit and husband Mark, Pam Gremillion, Emily B. Hemphill and husband Mark, Johnathon and Josh Curlee greatgrandchildren, Aaron Dixon and wife Andrea, Olivia, Beth and Avery Dixon, Mallary and Mattie Baublit, Jessalyn Roach, Tyler Mann, Jackie and Jenna Hemphill, Hanna Curlee brother, Bob Shepard and wife Peggy sister, Dot Marthiljohnni very dear friend, Bill Farris, along with a host of loving friends, neighbors and church family.Pallbearers serving will be family members. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Farris, Bud Hoffpauir, Joe Maciel, Josh Curlee and Duane Curlee.ation will be held from 6 8 PM, Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, September 13, 2006 in the Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Taylor officiating. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:15 PM in Ft. Sam Houston Nation Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
