Kerrville Thelma L. Blair, 89, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on Saturday afternoon, April 19, 2008.Born in Japanica, TX on June 29, 1918, she was the daughter of William David and Della Ola Dowdy Hope. She was a lifelong resident of the Hunt and Kerrville area. At one time, her family owned most of the property around Johnson Creek. Her last home was in Greenwood Forest.Mrs. Blair was an activer businesswoman and lovingly helped raise many family members children. She was an active member of the Dietert Center, where she loved playing 42.She was a devout member of the Church of Christ and was looking forward to the opening of the new Riverside Church of Christ in Kerrville.She loved to work with her hands and enjoyed sewing.She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Gordon Mills and many other family members.Mrs. Blair is survived by her husband, Clyde D. Blair of Kerrville and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren family members including, Monroe Dowdy of Blanco and nieces and nephew, friends and her church family.Open visitation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Thursday, April 24, 2008.Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories, Kerrville, Texas.
