Terry Shimek

Terry Lynne (Petznick) Shimek 78, passed from this life on Friday, May 11, 2018 at her home in Kerrville, TX.

She was born on November 12, 1939, in Milwaukee, WI to Arnold Petznick and Ruth (Popp) Petznick.

Terry met her husband, Thomas in Milwaukee, WI. Terry married Thomas J. Shimek on June 26, 1957 in Illinois. They lived in Milwaukee and raised four children, Mindy Sue; Jay; Lisa and Amy. She helped her husband run two businesses during their marriage. Her family was very important to her and she was very proud of all her children and grandchildren often telling her friends about them. To many of her friends she was their rock in time of need.

Terry was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and in her spare time camping, reading, crocheting, sewing and caring for her dogs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Ruth Petznick and husband, Thomas J. Shimek.

She leaves behind her children, Mindy Sue Cragg; Jay (Margie) Shimek; Lisa (David) Dyal and Amy (Mitchell) Redeker; cousin, Mae Dombrowski; sister-in-law, Claudia Wolfe; brother-in-laws, Charles and Scott Shimek; grandchildren, Chad Williams, Jeremy Shimek, Bryan Anderson, Scott Anderson, Nicole Williams, Matthew Anderson, Samantha Redeker, Tyler Redeker, Valerie Shimek and Kyle Wildenaver as well as numerous great grandchildren and her beloved canine companions Bandit and Casey.

Terry will be missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
