Sue DiGiampaolo

KERRVILLE Sue DiGiampaolo died from ovarian cancer on Friday, March 1, 2013.

She was born May 28, 1952 in Somerville, NJ, to Sterling and Patricia Apgar. She graduated from the College of William Mary in Williamsburg, VA, with a BBA in Accounting in 1974 and married her high school sweetheart, Jerry DiGiampaolo, on June 22, 1974.

Jerrys job with PPG Industries took them to Cumberland, MD, Wichita Falls, TX, Carlisle, PA, Decatur, IL, and Pittsburgh, PA, some places more than once. Their daughter Jill was born in 1979 in Wichita Falls and daughter Jessie was born in 1982 in Decatur. Sue worked many accounting jobs along the way for nonprofits, CPA firms, a home health agency, an oil drilling contractor and others.

In 2009, they retired to Kerrville. Sue loved volunteering at the library, walking with the Trailblazers, and doing income taxes for the AARP.

She was predeceased by her father, Sterling Eugene Apgar, and brother, Sterling Eric Apgar.

Sue is survived by her husband, Jerry daughter, Jill of San Antonio, daughter, Jessie of Houston brother, Scott Apgar and wife Terri of Bedford, NH sister, Sharon Yergeau and husband Paul of Bedford, NH, as well as a niece and four nephews.
