Stanley Roberts

Stanley Ray Roberts, 90, of Kerrville, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 1, 2014. Stanley was born and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas on April 16, 1923 to Homer and Ola Roberts.

On July 12, 1946 Stanley married the love of his life, Joyce. Stanley was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, having served many years. He was a pilot in WWII in the Pacific War Theater. Stanley was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism during an aerial operation while in WWII. After the war he returned to Wichita Falls and joined the family business of automobile sales, owning and operating several dealerships around North Texas. Stanley and Joyce later moved to the Hill Country and settled in Kerrville, Texas. He had a particular fondness for the Kerrville Fire Department, and spent many mornings drinking coffee at the fire station near his home. Stanley will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Surviving him are his wife, Joyce Roberts and daughter, Patricia Roberts, along with many friends, neighbors, and his Fire Department Family.
A Private Graveside Services will be held at a later date.
