Sonny Hicks

Sonny Clifford Hicks of Kerrville, Texas entered into eternal rest to join his wife Ruth on October 20, 2006.Sonny was born and raised in rural Oklahoma. At a young age he entered into the military where he served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the military after 25 years of service. He completed a second successful career in city management in Angleton, Texas. He was a simple man who lived a simple life. Upon retirement he moved to Kerrville where he reconnected with nature and went back to his country roots. He was very active in the Knights of Columbus and Notre Dame Catholic Church, and was involved in the AARP tax preparation program.He is survived by three children, son, Jack Hicks of Tulsa, Oklahoma daughter, Claudia Hicks Cobler of Bandera daughter, Sylvia Hicks of Cleveland, Ohio seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. ation will be 57:00 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2006 at Kerrville Funeral Home.Because of his love for animals, especially his cats please send memorials to any animal rescue of your choice.
