Kerrville Shirley C. White, 64, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Tuesday evening, September 1, 2009 at a local hospital.

Born on November 12, 1944 in Artesia, NM, she was the daughter of Lincoln and Tempie Reeves Cox. She lived in New Mexico for many years and she and her husband moved to Kerrville last year.

Mrs. White married Phil J. White on April 8, 1971 in Las Cruces, NM.

While in NM, she worked for Plant School Transportation and for 20 years, worked for the Moriaty School as a bookkeeper and or of transportation.

Mrs. White was very involved with the Youth Baseball League in Moriaty, NM, on both the local and state level. She served as treasurer of the Youth Baseball League of NM for 20 years.

She was a faithful Christian and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville.

Mrs. White was predeceased by her parents.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Phil J. White of Kerrville her children, Johnee Carr and his wife, Gill, of Spring Branch, TX, Jeree Bunson and her husband, Daniel, of Allen, TX, Jess White and his wife, Deena, of Albuquerque, NM, Jaye White and her fiance, Josh Pineda, of Longmont, CO, James White and his fiance, Trisha Baker, of Albuquerque,NM, Robert Glen Knox of Ruidoso, NM and Jeffery Knox and his wife, Melissa, of Albuquerque, NM 12 grandchildren her brother, Dub Cox of Mayhill, NM her sisters, Eula Harrison of Las Cruces, NM and Ruthann Carner of La Luz, NM, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.


Funeral service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Kerrville, 321 Thompson Dr, on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 10:00A.M. Committal services will follow at Garden of Memories.
