Kerrville Serapia Cervantes Moreno, 68, of Kerrville passed from this life on November 22, 2002 at a local care center in Kerrville, Texas. Ms. Moreno was born in Cuero, Texas to the late Jose and Guadalupe Manuela Cervantes Moreno on November 5, 1934.For 68 years, Serapia was Mother, Friend, Grandma, Sister, and Aunt to many who loved her. Serapia shared her selfless life with family, friends, and strangers alike. Now her work on earth is done, and she is standing in glory with our Lord.Mrs. Moreno was preceded in death by her sons, Joe Chacon Cheme, Robert Chacon, daughter Irma Chacon, and her sister Mary Trevino. Also preceded her in death were her parentsShe is survived by six daughters and spouses, Henrietta and John Henry Fadai, Sylvia Serrano, Guadalupe and Kenny Carrington, Olivia and Antonio Vela, Sr., all of Kerrville, Texas, Patsy and Oscar Palomo of Holland, Mich., and Leticia Chacon of San Antonio, Texas sons and spouses, Estevan and Anita Chacon, Jr. of Kerrville, Texas and Jon Pilor Moreno and son Kyle of Victorville, California brothers and spouses, Pilar and Janie Moreno, Manuel and Ruby Moreno, Juan and Mary Gonzales, all of Michigan.Serapia will be greatly missed by her 33 Grandchildren and 26 GreatGrandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many very special loving friends.Mom, you left us to go walk on the streets of gold. Mom, we love you, and you will be dearly missed. Thank you, Mom, for all that you have sacrificed for us. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Norte Dame Catholic Church, with Father Mike Boulette as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas.Pallbearers will her Grandsons, Andrew Fadai, James Chacon, Antonio Vela, Jr., Josh Vela, John B. Aguirre, Steven Chacon, and Kenny Carrington.Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews, Kenny Carrington, Jr., Keshann Carrington, Ryan Reyes, and Joe Vela, Robert Chacon, Kyle Moreno, Timothy Palomo, and Gabriel Chacon.
