Sean Aloysius Kelleher, 60 of Midland, TX died December 4, 2003 at a local care facility in Kerrville, TX.Sean Aloysius Kelleher was born on September 16, 1943 in Manhattan, New York to the late James and Winifred Grass Kelleher. Seans parents moved the family to Houston, TX when he was eight years old. He graduated from St. Thomas High School and then received his Bachelors degree in English and Political Science from Tulane University. During the summers Sean traveled to Mississippi where he participated in the Summer of Freedom and the Civil Rights Movement. Sean continued his education at Brown University and received his PH.D in Political Science. Sean remained in New England for 14 years. He married Irene A. Agostinelli of Providence, Rhode Island and had 2 daughters. In 1979, Sean moved his family to Odessa, TX and began a 20year career at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin where hes been recognized as an outstanding professor and local political expertanalyst. Through his work, Sean or Dr. K has touched a countless number of lives and will be remembered for his humor and dedication to both his students and his community. Sean is survived by his two sisters, Maurine Cronin of Los Angeles, CA and Sheila Cowart of Tampa, FL his brother Kevin Kelleher of Houston, TX Sean will be remembered as a brilliant and caring father by his three daughters, Shannon M. Kelleher of Seattle, Washington, Megan a.k.a. Tinkerbelle K.
