Scott “Orin” Cameron, 48, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Kerrville, Texas. Born on December 21, 1976, in Long Island, New York, he lived a life defined by dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.
For over 28 years, he built a remarkable career in trucking and windmill blade transport. His work took him across the country and into the heart of American industry. Among his many accomplishments, one stood out as a proud milestone: transporting the historic restored 1865 Civil War locomotive known as “Texas.” This extraordinary task reflected not only his professional skill but also his deep respect for history and craftsmanship.
After retiring from the road, he continued to serve others as a retail assistant. In this role, he brought warmth and kindness to every interaction. He was deeply appreciated by both colleagues and customers alike for his helpful nature and ever-present smile. Whether behind the wheel of a massive transport or behind a counter helping someone find what they needed, he put his heart into everything he did.
Orin was a man who found joy in discovery and connection. He loved traveling with his beloved wife and soulmate, Luna—exploring new places together and learning about innovations that could improve everyday life. These shared adventures were among his greatest joys.
He was known for being loving, caring, hard-working, loyal—and above all—for always trying to put a smile on someone else’s face. His generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Luna; his parents, Scott and Susan Cameron; sister and her husband, Sharon and Darren Jenkins; brother and his wife, Sean and Eilen” Cameron; and his nephew and wife Johnathan and Trenity Jenkins. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
May his memory bring comfort to those whose lives he brightened with kindness and love.
