Sarah Wright

Kerrville Sarah Welma Wright, 89, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on December 18, 2002 at San Antonio Care Center. Mrs. Wright was born in Hamilton, Texas, to Charles Martin and Sarah Margaret Waldrip Knorzer on July 15, 1913. Mrs. Wright was married in Amarillo, Texas on August 13, 1946 to Woodrow W. Wright. She served in the Navy during WWII in charge of Spinal and Infection ward. She was a charge nurse at Scott and White Hospital in the OB Department after graduation in 1940. Mrs. Wright also worked at the Kerrville VA Hospital for a number of years. Moving to Kerrville in the fall of 1967, she was a devout member of Trinity Baptist Church of Kerrville.She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Wright on September 7, 1970.She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Snipes and husband Harold of Livingston, Texas and a host of many loving friends and neighbors.Funeral services for Mrs. Wright be held at 10 AM, Monday, December 23, 2002 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel. Family ation will be held from 2 4 PM, Sunday, December 22, 2002 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Interment will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later time.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mrs. Wrights memory to the Alto Frio Baptist Encampment in Leakey, Texas.
