Ruth Voss

Kerrville Ruth Y. Voss, 84, passed from this life at a local health care facility on Saturday evening, April 3, 2010.

Born in Bessemer, AL on September 13, 1925, she was the daughter of David and Mary Winn Yeager. She married the love of her life, Byron W. Voss on November 30, 1946 at Kelly Field Chapel.

She and Byron moved to Kerrville in 1955.

Ruth loved her family and friends, enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, reading and crocheting.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Byron W. Voss on March 5, 2004, her parents and 4 brothers.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her daughter, Kathryn Crawford, and her husband, Rick, of Houston her two grandsons, Chad Crawford of Houston and Kevin Crawford, and his wife, Leslie, of Houston one sister, Earline Wold of San Antonio and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

Graveside services celebrating her life will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 2:30PM.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
