Ruth Hansard

Ruth Alyne Hansard, 91, of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully on January 10, 2005 at her residence.Mrs. Hansard was born June 19, 1913 to Charlie and Stella Medearis in Whitewright, Texas where she also grew up. She married Aubrey Hansard on September 5, 1932 in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1997. She worked as a chef in the Kerrville area, and later she and her husband, Aubrey opened and operated Hansards Caf in Ingram, TX. She also retired from KISD as Cafeteria Manager. She was of the Methodist faith. She was an excellent seamstress, pioneer, homemaker, caregiver, mother and grandmother who spent her life for her family, those who were her main focus.She is preceded in death by her husband, son, Captain James Butch Hansard, and son, Don Hansard.She is survived by her daughter, Leanora Richardson of Kerrville brother, Charles Medearis and wife Jerrye of Elm Mott, TX sister, Dorothy McCoy of Ingram grandchildren, Terrye Richardson of Kerrville, TX, who was also her caregiver, Steve Richardson and wife Betty of Freder, TX, Karl Don Hansard of Bertram, TX, Dr. Jim Hansard and wife Jill of Tulsa, OK, Lanette Kinnaird and husband John of Austin, TX, Susan Hansard of Des Moines, Iowa, Ricky Richardson of Princeton, TX nine great grandchildren, Luke, Katie, Ben, Hailey, Ryan, Nicholas, Maris, River, and Aiden, and special friend and caregiver, Randall Steward.Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with nephews, Craig McCoy and James McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. ation will be 68:00PM, Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at Kerrville Funeral Home.
