Ruth Brunk

Kerrville Ruth Van Horn Brunk, 86, of Kerrville, passed away at local health care facility on Tuesday evening, February 23, 2010.

Born in Grand Valley now Parachute CO, she was the daughter of Lyman and Gladys Butts Van Horn.

A graduate of Grand Valley High School in 1943, she married Robert E. Brunk on August 14, 1943. They would have celebrated their 67th anniversary this year.

Throughout her life, Ruth was a loving wife and mother and was very active in many community activities. She was a charter member of PEO Chapter GA in the Hill Country.

Ruth and Bob, for many years, were very active in conducting Recreation Vehicle caravans all over North America.

She was a member of the Faith Christian Church.

Ruth has gone to be with her Savoir in a better place.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, Robert her son Robert Jr. and his wife Josefina her son Thomas, and his wife Sharon 4 grandchildren, Brian Brunk, Glen Brunk, Gary Brunk and Angela Platt, and 7 great grandchildren.

There is no visitation

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Faith Christian Church, 1205 Sidney Baker South, Kerrville 8308964022.

The family suggests that donations in Ruths name be made to the Alzheimers Research.
