Rubye Kohlman

Rubye Jo Smith Kohlman, 87, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life at a local hospital on Sunday, July 6, 2014.

Mrs. Kohlman was born February 17, 1927 in Tucumcari, NM the daughter of John and Ruby Smith. She married Earl Kohlman on May 29, 1949 in Eunice, NM.

Mrs. Kohlman graduated from Stephenville High School, John Tarleton College and North Texas University. She did graduate work at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the University of Utah and the University of Southern California.

Mrs. Kohlman taught school in Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana.

Those left to cherish and honor her memory are her husband, Earl of the home, two daughters, Patricia Craig and husband, John of Denver, CO, Linda Dirickson and husband, Tracy Allen of Las Vegas, NV, three grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Burns.

Celebration of life services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, TX.

The family suggests memorials to St. Pauls United Methodist Church, 135 Methodist Encampment Rd, Kerrville, TX 78028 or charity of choice.
