Roy Jackson

Roy Edwin Jackson, 90, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on March 8, 2013 at a local hospital.

Roy was born May 30, 1922 in Smithwick, Texas to Frank B. and Alma Jackson. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Lois Maun on November 15, 1947 in Falfurrias, Texas. He was employed at Schlumberger Well Services and retired after thirty eight years. During that time, their family lived in Corpus Christi where they were members of Travis Baptist Church. After retirement, Roy and Lois moved to Kerrville in 1998. Roy enjoyed playing dominoes, traveling and fixing things in his workshop. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roy is preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife of sixtyfive years, Lois Jackson son, Gary Jackson and wife Charlotte of Kempner, TX daughter, Carol Jones and husband Ken of Katy, TX five grandchildren, Jodi Burtch, Jami Willander, Jeni Hicks, Kelly Jones, and Kevin Jones four greatgrandchildren one greatgreatgrandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating. Graveside services and interment will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Falfurrias Burial Park in Falfurrias, Texas.
