Kerrville ndash Rosemary Farley, 84, passed from this life on Monday morning, July 28, 2008 at a local health care facility.nbspBorn in Danville, IL on March 9, 1924, she was the daughter of Robert L. and Nellie F. Nowling Hooper.nbspAfter high school graduation, she attended two years at Utterbacks Business School and was employed by the Veterans Administration as a medical secretary.nbspShe married Arthur W. Farley, Assistant Hospital Director of the VA Hospital in 1951 in Miami, Oklahoma.nbsp Mr. Farley was associated with the VA Hospital in Kerrville, TX in 1952.nbsp He preceded her in death in 1969.nbspMrs. Farley was employed as Medical Records Librarian for 18 years at Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital.nbsp Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Medical Record Technician in the Nursing Service at the Kerrville VA Hospital.nbspSince her retirement, Mrs. Farley has been actively engaged in working with the Humane Society of Kerrville, which she helped found in 1985.
