San Antonio Rose Anne Nelson, 56, of San Antonio, TX passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at her sisters residence after a lengthy illness.Rose was born November 27, 1951 to parents B.E. Sonny Nelson and Charlene Ives Nelson in San Antonio, TX. She loved to tell others all about her history in Nelson City, TX and was very proud of her heritage. She attended Comfort High School, class of 1969, and enjoyed going to the class reunions. When working, she was a talented graphic designer always leading the field in innovation. She was also the Director of Medical Staff Services at a hospital in Atlanta, GA. Her name, Rose, became a hobby and she enjoyed collecting and planting roses. Her greatest passion, however, was her grandchildren. From the moment her first grandson was born she found her greatest love. The love continued for the following five, and her name became Grandma Honey. Preceding her in death is her father.She is survived by son, Michael Nelson Erlund and wife Melissa of Shreveport, LA daughter, Larissa Ince and husband Mark of Mountain Home, TX grandchildren, Chance, China, and Chandlin Hale, Eric and Elizabeth Erlund, and Lucy Ince mother, Charlene Nelson of San Antonio, TX brother, Charles Nelson and wife Kathleen of Little Rock, AR sister, Nita Ryder and husband Curtis of San Antonio, TX stepmother, Peggy Butler and husband Bobby of Boerne, TX stepbrother, Bobby Couture and wife Robin of Boerne, TX stepson, Matthew Erlund of Topeka, KS numerous nieces and nephews and special longtime friends, Dan Lowry and Tony Rios.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with private interment to follow in the Boerne City Cemetery. ation will begin 1:00 p.m., Sunday prior to service.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
