It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Rosemarie Wheeler, 76 on March 27, 2025
Born July 24, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Sue (Vitaz) Hutchissons. She spent most of her youth in Ohio, where she met her late husband James A. Wheeler. Rosemarie earned her nursing degree from Arapahoe College and became a registered nurse
She worked for many years as an operating room nurse, a role she approached with quiet strength, skill and deep compassion. Known for her steady presence and calm reassurance during critical moments, Rosemarie left a lasting impression on both colleagues and patients alike
A creative soul, she had a passion for crafting that she used to brighten the lives of those around her. Whether through handmade gifts, thoughtful decorations, or small touches that made people feel special, her creativity was a reflection of her generous heart
Rosemarie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James A. Wheeler, her son, Jimmy Wheeler, and her sister, Bettyann Hutchisson. She is survived by her loving daughter, Ellen Walter and her husband Edward. Her grandsons, Connor Walter (and his wife, Jordyn) and Logan Walter brought her immense pride and joy; and she also enjoyed a close relationship with her sisters Patricia Sendrey and Margaret Hutchisson. She was deeply loved by her friends and will be missed more than words can express.
Her Legacy of compassion, creativity and quiet strength will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Services will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on April 19 at 2 pm. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House in her honor.
Services with integrity, pride, and honor are under the direction of Kerrville Funeral Home. (830) 895-5111
