Rose Anderson

Kerrville Rose Eliza Anderson, 83, of Kerrville, TX entered into rest peacefully Friday, April 2, 2004 at a local care center. She was born in St. Paul, MN to Odin and Florence Bertha Covart Anderson on December 12, 1920. Mrs. Anderson attended school in St. Paul, MN where she grew up, and later was offered a scholarship to attend a school in New York to study Opera. At her fathers objection to the big city life, she later obtained her teaching degree and taught kindergarten in Minnesota and South Dakota before retiring. Mrs. Anderson married Clarence Arthur Anderson on December 19, 1942. In 1982, the Andersons were visiting friends who lived in Ingram,TX and decided to make Kerrville their permanent retirement home.Mrs. Anderson was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Kerrville, TX, and a member of the Minnesota Teachers Association.She is survived by her husband, Mr. Clarence Anderson of Kerrville, TX daughter and soninlaw, Bonnie and Howard Godwin of Quinton, VA son and daughterinlaw, Robert F. and Gail Anderson of Wichita Falls, TX grandchildren, Bryan Godwin, Derek Anderson, Heidi Sargent, and Tonya Carr very special friends Herb and Carole Salvas of Kerrville, TX. She is also survived by a host of many loving friends and neighbors.Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, April 5, 2004 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Kerrville, TX, with the Rev. David Chancellor officiating. Interment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX at 9 AM, Tuesday, April 6, 2004.At the familys request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice, Kerrville, TX, Zion Lutheran Church, Kerrville, TX, or Ameripark Care Center, Kerrville, TX. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
