Roberta Longnecker

Roberta Wells Longnecker, 80, of Kerrville Texas passed away at a local care facility on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Roberta was born to Roscoe Ward Wells and Daisy Evadna Wilson on
February 13, 1937 in Ames, Iowa. Roberta graduated from Tivy High School in 1955 and she was a graduate of Trinity University with a BA degree in Elementary Education in 1959. She retired from Civil Service and Food and Nutrition under the USDA. She was also an accomplished pianist.

She was a member of the Kerrville Board of Realtors, First Presbyterian Church Choir and The Bell Choir. Roberta enjoyed counted cross stitch, and was a member of the Womens Circle Group of First Presbyterian Church. Roberta was a devoted wife and loving mother with a giving heart who put family and friends first and cherished every minute she had with them. Full of love, laughter and spirit and warmed your heart every time you saw her beautiful smile. Her legacy and joy of life itself will live on through her daughter, granddaughters, great-granddaughter and generations to come. She will forever be missed and never forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe Ward Wells and Daisy Evadna Wilson, brother; Bradley Wells.

Those who are left to cherish her memories are husband, Keith Longnecker; daughter, Roberta Ellen Brockman; granddaughters, Ashley Nicole Brockman and Katy Rene Brockman; great granddaughter, Brayley Love Nowicki; stepdaughter, Beth Longnecker; niece, Stephanie Wells; aunt, Loy Wilson; brother in-law, Dennis Longnecker.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville General Fund.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 5-7 pm at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway Kerrville, Texas. Graveside Services will be at 10 am Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Garden Of Memories in Kerrville. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 am Thursday, June 15, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, Kerrville.
