KERRVILLE Robert Lee quotBobquot Zielinski, 81, beloved husband, father, and brother, went to his eternal rest on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at his residence. Born on July 12, 1930, in Georgetown, IL, he was the second of five children born to Lee A. Zielinski and Mary Sumilaski.

Growing up the son of a coalminer, Bob found his way to Denver, CO and joined the United States Air Force. He met his sweetheart, Jean A. Smith of Buffalo Center, IA and they were married in Denver on February 2, 1952. Bob would graduate from the University of Colorado with an engineering degree. Sixty wonderful years of marriage would produce their children, Tanya Ann and Bradford Lee Zielinski. After years in the building business and traveling the world for work and with his beloved wife, he retired to Kerrville, TX after living in Houston, TX for 40 years.

Bob was a phenomenal athlete, an avid hunter, tennis player and all around sportsman. To say the he loved his wife, Jeannie, with his whole heart would be an understatement.

Bob passed peacefully in the home he designed and built with his beloved wife and children by his side. Even in passing, Bob continues to give, donating his body to the University of Texas Medical School. He was truly a good man and his family, as well as his many friends, will miss his quiet wit and kindness.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Virginia.

Those left to honor and cherish his memories are his beloved wife of 60 years, Jean his daughter, Dr. Tanya Zielinski of Grapevine, TX his son, Bradford Zielinski and wife Leigh of Austin, TX his younger sisters, Marilee and Phyllis and brother Dan will also miss him dearly.

A quotCelebration of Lifequot will be held at 1 PM on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Kerrville, TX 78028.
