Robert Smith

Robert Lennox Smith, 53, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on March 13, 2014 at his residence in Kerrville, Texas.

Robert was born June 01, 1960 in Berlin, Germany. He was raised by his parents, Bobby and Donna Smith in Washington and Grandparents in Mississippi.
Robert was married to his lovely wife, Jimmie Sue Terrell Smith on August 15, 2013.
Robert began working in the oil patch as a young teen. With a twinkle in his eyes he told lively stories of his many adventures in this, often hated but always loved, unique field and the men he roughnecked with. Upon his extremely early demise Robert was a Drilling Consultant for Apache Corp. Even though he earned the position that allowed him a comfortable trailer where he oversaw the day and night operations, his heart remained on the rig floor tripping pipe. When home from a hitch Robert enjoyed his back deck, many friends and loving family. His nightly dreams consisted of traveling, owning land, and reaching TD. Robert could always be found right next to his friend, loyal companion and at times the true Main Boss, Charlie.
Robert is preceded in death by his mother Donna Richmon Smith and sister Debbie Lynn Smith.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Jimmie Sue Terrell Smith of Kerrville, Texas daughter, Robbi McCrory and son inlaw, Billy McCrory of Carlsbad, New Mexico Bobby Smith step children, Chasity and Jordan Terrell of Kerrville, Texas grandchildren, Brinley, Will and Taylor McCrory of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Alexander and Hunter Duncan of Kerrville, Texas.

A celebration of Roberts life will be held at his all time favorite location on his upcoming birthday.

Everyone who remembers Robert is asked to celebrate his life in their own way a Mc Donalds drive thru Quarter Pounder with ketchup and onions would be appropriate.

Instead of flowers, Robert would have hoped that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some poor unfortunate dog, in his name.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kerrville Funeral Home. 830 8955111
