Robert Bruce Downey, 66, of Kerrville Funeral Home passed away April 8, 2004.Mr. Downey was born March 18, 1938 in Anderson, Indiana to Leslie Elias Downey and Ida Mae Andrews Downey. He married Charlene Dean Bowlin on March 9, 1963. They moved to Kerrville in 1977. He was a retired auto mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and reading to his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Charlene Downey six children, Robert E. Downey, Cheryl Ann Bowlin, Sherri Lynn Wyatt, Dwayne D. Downey, Charles K. Downey, and Karl L. T. Downey a brother, Leslie E. Downey, sisters, Ruth Gillian, Dorothy Puterbaugh, Della, Tinsley, Irene Wigner, Rosie Boman, Doris Travis, and Teresa Platt grandchildren, Ben Wyatt, Kyle Downey, Kristen Downey, Emily Downey, Johnathon Downey, Kayla Downey, Shane Downey, Brandon Downey, Andrea Downey, Cody Downey, and Emily Downey.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2004 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Arlie Lammers officiating.
