Robert Cale, Jr.

KERRVILLE Bob Cale, 70, of Kerrville, Texas passed away from this life suddenly at a local hospital on Monday, November 25, 2013. Born in Hartford City, Indiana on October 22, 1943, he was the son of Robert Glen Cale, Sr., and Wilma Lois Hambidge Cale.

Bob was a big ol teddy bear, a great story teller and a funny jokester who loved his family, friends, horses, and his beloved Beagle, Millie.

Some of his many accomplishments include: a BS from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, his Masters Degree from Ball State University, and his Law Degree from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. Upon retirement, Bob moved to Kerrville, Texas to enjoy the Texas Hill Country and a slower pace in life.

Passing before him are his father, Robert Glen Cale, Sr. grandfather, William Arthur Hambidge and his grandmother, Zella French Hambidge of Upland, Indiana who lived a full life of 107 years.

Those left to honor and cherish Bobs memories are his wife of 29 years, Emily Cale mother, Wilma Lois Hambidge Cale who lives with Bob and Emily his children, Ashli Cale Guild and husband COL Terry Guild along with their children, Tyler, US Army, Tanner, and Trevor, Matthew Robert Cale and wife Brooke his stepchildren, Jenny Hix Stanley and husband Walt and their daughter Chloe, Charlie Hix and wife Barbara and their four daughters, Hunter, Brittany, twins, Harlee and Brianna sisters, Cheryl Renee Cale Knowles, daughter, Tonia with her two children Sky and Quinn and Cynthia Lynn Cale Shafer and husband Scott with their three daughters, Amanda, Krista, and Lauren, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Bobs Life will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028 with Rev. Linda McWhorter of First Christian Church, Kerrville, Texas officiating.

In Bobs memory, the family has asked that memorials be made to the Lions Sight Research Foundation, 4502 Centerview 120, San Antonio, Texas 78228

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kerrville Funeral Home.
