Robert Ayala

Kerrville Robert Sepulveda Ayala, 85, a loving husband and father, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Robert was born on September 30, 1925 in San Antonio, TX. He was the son of Ralph Ayala, Sr. and Maria Sepulveda Ayala.

He spent his boyhood years living in the Kerrville area. Robert joined the Armed Forces in 1944 during WW II, where he served until 1947.

Upon his return from the military, Robert met and married Grace Arredondo on April 20, 1950. Robert was employed at the VA Hospital from 1947 to 1980 when he retired.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Grace daughter, Theresa Cappella and husband, Tony of Brownsville, TX, and Anna Lunoff of San Antonio, TX five grandchildren, Joanna Cappella Gomez and husband, Dr. Jaime Gomez, Robert Cappella, Analissa Tamaren and husband Michael Tamaren, Brianna Lunoff and Roel Daniel Lunoff five great grandson, Julian, Jonah and Joshua Gomez, Zander Lunoff and Aidan Tamaren. Also surviving, are his brothers, Ralph Ayala and Joel Ayala of Kerrville, TX, Dr. Silvester Ayala and wife, Ruth of Little Elm, TX numerous nieces, nephews along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors.

At the familys request, in lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of ones choice.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with Pastor Nicholas Ramos of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
